Yes and no. It's called AMP (figure that one out jks) and it's not exactly XMP. You can enable it but usually you don't get the exact same speeds as XMP with an Intel chip. For example when I enabled AMP I only went from 2133 MHz up to 2400MHz. Manually I'm now up to 2933 MHZ.

AMD is working on BIOS updates to get AMP and XMP synced up. No guarantees though that the max advertised XMP speeds will line up to the AMP speeds, I think we could see some AMP specific Ram coming out fairly soon. I just felt the need to upgrade now because the Ram was the bottleneck in my system at 2133 MHz. At 2933 Mhz I'm seeing 10-20% improvement in frame rates.

Just to reiterate from early though, AMD is having memory issues in general. If your chips aren't made from certain Samsung batches good luck running it on an AMD4 board. I only went off the wall with this Ram after doing a ton of research to find RGB Ram that used B2 binned Samsung Ram chips, whatever that means.

I'm not sure what the B2 means, but binned chips are usually how well they do. For instance, an Intel chip that bins poorly may be labeled an i3 or i5, while a good one will become an i7.

I don't really use my rig for gaming, so my DDR3 ram is 1866 I believe. My storage is probably the bottleneck for what I use it for.

I think memory chips are binned by revision kind of how CPUs have stepping. Over time the manufacturer changes there process for the exact same chip construction. Memory is apparently binned that way as well as binned by speed from what I understand. One set of identical specification Ram may very well be running a differently manufactured chip, which is usually not a problem except with Ryzen apparently. It only likes certain Ram chips. From what I've read this was a problem too when Intel came out with the Core2 chips. New designs don't always behave the same as the specs the previous Ram was built for.

Nothing much. Since I started playing music again I loaded up a bunch of software for studio stuff/recording.
Ez drummer 2, studio one, some other daws.
My 4k tv is my main tv in the game room so if I want to sim, I have to carry that biotch over to my sim area. I've pulled my lat twice now doing that.

No upgrades to the comp itself. A few years old now and still par with some newer systems.

Did I ever get you on my steam list?
