I live in a town without a pick and pull so I don't have the luxury of easy scavenging. There's one a couple hours north of me, and if I want to drive 3 hours one way there are some in Chicago or St. Louis. I've never been to one of these places so I'm not familiar with their culture...

I'm looking to get the following items and would appreciate some up-to-date pricing expectations:

power mirrors with switch and associated wiring off an 01-04

    console from 01-04

grill and bumper et al off a 95.5-97

That's all for now. I will be up in Chicago in a week or so and was hoping to swing through one if I get a chance.

    Thanks

That's the national chain version. There are a couple "mom and pop" places that have some 01-04's at least.

Seems when I read of stories of salvage yard "finds" people are getting a lot of stuff for not that much. So I'm just curious what I'd expect to pay...

Call ahead before you make the trip and make sure they have what you need. Expect to pay 20-60% vs new. I paid $75 vs $438 new for a power window/lock switch assembly, and $25 vs $157 new for a driver side inner door jam seal.

Good luck on finding anything toyota or tacoma in the yards around chicago. It took me 6 months to find an fj80 rear axle that wasnt priced more than a custom built housing.
