    Nah. With as humid as it is, I'm going to give it a few days to dry. Maybe next weekend.

    Shut your mouth. I just got finished wire wheeling my drivers side slider and it is monsooning. Guage is reading 71% humidity in my tent. :annoyed::censored:

    Yup... Apparently Virginia has relocated to the Pacific Northwest. But I unloaded everything in the shop at work the day I picked it all up, and it was bothering me to have it sitting in the shop in bare steel. So I decided to risk it. So far so good, but it's all going to sit for two days before I even move it.

    Good call. I left mine in my living room for a week until I could set up a paint booth in my backyard. Trying to keep the humidity down in the tent is tougher than I thought. Mine will stay off the truck for about a week to allow it to cure properly in this crappy rainy weather we have been having. What are all the paint steps you are doing?

    The bumper I wiped with lacquer thinner, then hit the outside with a wire cup brush to get the metal as smooth as I could get it. Then wiped down with more lacquer thinner, then Rust-Oleum Self Etching Primer. Went pretty heavy and let it sit over night.

    Today, I sanded, wiped it off with a little wax & grease remover, tack ragged it, then Rust-Oleum Satin Black. Closest thing I can find to matching the powder coat on the ARB front bumper I have.

    The sliders and skids I care a little less about, as they're going to need touching up sooner or later no matter what. So I wiped them with lacquer thinner until clean, let that flash off, then hit them with a couple coats of self etching primer, then after about 30-45 minutes top coated with satin black.

    So far it all looks fine. Who knows what 6 months down the road will bring though. Worst case, touch up will consist of some taping off of the truck and a $5 can of paint.

    So far so good for the weekend. Yesterday, I did oil/filter change (105k), tire rotation, and changed the wipers. For you all with aluminum wheels, have you ever had trouble getting the rear wheels off? I had to wrestle them off. No damage that I could see, just some oxidation.

    @Fish12South Paint looks good.

    Nice. Looks good. The bumper will look great.

    I wiped with Acetone, then wire wheeled until shinny AF, then more Acetone until the rags were clean. Then 2 light coats of self etching primer and knocked off any ruff areas. Wiped them lightly with Acetone and then 3 coats or paint. Gosh I hope this holds up for awhile.

    Just got back from NW PA from a week of camping, visiting in law family, and my nieces' wedding.....it rained a lot! but we had fun. Kayaked French Creek and Geneva Swamp....
    Doubt know what gives but I saw several trailered rigs covered in mud around Winchester today.
    Yeah, I'll be around, gotta catch up after vacation. Lol

    I use a rubber mallet to smack the back side of the tire. A little anti seize on the hub face doesn't hurt...

    Yeah. I had to use a rubber mallet on the passenger side. I didn't grease up the hubs but it's a good idea for next time.

    I could have heated up the tent no problem. Humidity is real hard to get rid of, especially when it rains twice a day. Got one top coat on. About to do second and wait about another hour and top coat it. Sooooooo close
