Wow that was a mess i have been in a similar situation when a spa on a roof popped a leak when the light conduit broke off. No i wasnt working on the light

    In a sense it is sort of flying on the hydrofoils under the water surface, but the water is still what's holding it up rather than the air, so it's not truly "flying" as we'd think of the term.

    In the clip below you can see the underwater wing the boat is using. The point of hydrofoils is to reduce friction between hull and water by lifting it out of the water. All so they can go faster.
