Is there any possible way to fit a V8 in a 3rd Gen Tacoma? If so, what options are out there?

Buy a tundra, it will cost so much you could buy a tundra and a half when you include the cost of the tacoma and the warranty you're voiding.

IF your ultimate desire is to have a v8 in it.. LS based is the way to go for compact fitment, power, and fuel economy.

Anything is possible with enough money. If you mean has anyone made a kit to do so more conveniently, then I would say no. Big engines need big axles and tough transmissions so you'd be doing a lot of work outside of the engine bay to make it reliable. You would be better off buying a different truck.

Just throwing that out there, just wanted to see what some of y'alls responses would be. I just see a lot of people putting V8s in Jeeps after awhile, was wondering if anyone had done it to a Tacoma. Thanks for the link, will read into it.

If you can get a crashed Tundra, There was one on ebay last month 9K... I think it would take more money than effort...
It will fit, just getting the electronics to work is the hard part...
I have seen a few chevy V8 Tacomas.....

A super charger is a cheaper and easier way to go to get another 100 HP...
Than a stand alone ECU and E85 for another 50-100 HP...

    A 3.5 could easily make 400-500 HP with 10 psi and E85...

I think that part of it too comes down to the reliability of a Jeep engine. If you toast the engine and have to replace it, might as well go with something better/bigger. I'd love to toss one of the new Cummins in either of my Tacomas, but I can't justify it til I'm at the point of needing a new engine. I've got just over 5k miles on one of the trucks, just under 200k miles on the other. I don't think that either one is going to be due for a new engine for quite some time.

Absolutely, I couldn't justify replacing the engine till it was time as well. Should be more options available by that time as well hopefully as far as diesel.
