Tuned in at 1.5 on Ch 1 and 1.4 on Ch 40. I could hear M/Vs entering a local ship channel and barges last night. And the weather radio feature works great, all the info I need before I go fishing other than the vector tables. The radio also has a speaker jack and I can hook it up to my aux on the radio if needed. I may add an additional 12v plug and tuck it where I have the antenna cable stowed away.

Thats a pretty cool setup! Never thought of this handheld when I bought my uniden. Compact and no drill... awesome!

Exactly why I went this route. It'll serve another purpose on the kayak, well inside a dry bag just in case.

How far does it reaches on handheld mode?

Picked up a set of factory 16" x 7" rims, lugnuts and centercaps today, for free! I'm getting ready for Pizza Cutters / tall skinny tires.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Yours is similar to how I did mine.

I don't have any problems with it rubbing (mount or cable)

Installed 20w fogs today. Tomorrow I will maybe ditch lights before heading out to work. @CaliRaisedLed light pods, brackets and harness. About an hour install including wiring the lights.IMG_5852.jpg

Installed ditch lights. The LED pods I installed were for a plate bumper I had another truck I had and never installed and collecting dust. Install took about 1.5 hours, trimming the cowling took the most time.
