does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
My kids have been helping grandpa set adobes, we're 85% done with the wall, I'll take some better pictures this week. We're going to do a dyed cement bond beam to finish the top, and then we'll have to go get or buy some vigas(25' long 10-12" diameter round logs that have been skinned) to build the roof and uprights. Probably won't finish all that till next year...IMG_1745.jpgIMG_1768.jpgIMG_1763.jpg

Did the attic crawl and got more demo done and repipe another outside wall toilet. Found the washer machine doesn't have a trap. Fantastic.

I'm so lucky the house has old school paneling. Makes repiping water so easy. Easier.

    Nice work, sir.

i remember when i built my first deck as a young, muscular adonis, then
my wifes friends carpenter husband (a know-it-all Oz-type :D) stopped by and determined one of the footings wasnt plumb.
we proceeded to place a come-along on that one footing and straightened it out :anonymous:

I'd start by contacting the county. Their building codes would likely account for any geotechnical and soil conditions prevalent in the region. At least you would be compliant by following that.

I've installed two of those. Almost always in use. And maybe somebody mentioned, you should fix those screws and bring it up to code.

Can you catch those and make them your pet?

We finished one corner, have the other side to do, much shorter run, hope to have done next week.IMG_1771.jpg IMG_1773.jpg
If you notice, my dad lost track of the joints on one of the rows, and they ended up not overlapping. We'll correct it by adding a half adobe on the bottom eleven courses or cutting a quarter off the double stacked row and tightening the joints for a a few feet until everything is back to copacetic. More or less, this is dirt blocks that aren't perfect.IMG_1778.jpg IMG_1774.jpg IMG_1775.jpg
I'm going to take some pics of the section of the house we are going to rebuild, I'd like some of your ideas on layout of the rooms, its most likely going to be a self sufficient apartment size with kitchen and bathroom.

Stihl is the best. Run their chainsaw, weed wacker, and blower. Never had a problem going on 5 years with them
