ya those two have super similar patterns. I wanted to see what the tread life was going to be on the X3's. My other option was going to be the Toyo R/T, or jump up to 17s and go with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

Well they're on! Must say they are a great looking tire. First impressions... very noisy, even at 35-40 it's very audible only getting louder at higher speeds. Good handling on road, will be taking them off road this weekend. IMG_7572.jpgIMG_7573.jpg

Nosey compared to what? Currently running the AT2's, I can hear them but think they're "noisey"

Well with this being the first M/T I've owned i can only compare them to the KO2s that my pops has on his Tundra.Yes I know they are an A/T but those are audible. I'm sure they are similar to your AT2s as the patterns are fairly similar. The X3s I would say are much more noticeable. Nothing I wont get used to just a change for me personally. At 75 with the radio on(not blaring) its audible if you listen for it.

Ya these to me have a higher pitched drone. at 30-50 is when it's the most noticeable for me. But like I said it's just something for me to get used to since I've never ran M/Ts before.

Damn it. I was almost set on my tire selection until I saw these real world pics. Decisions decisions... 265/70R17's look good but still a little small on my truck at stock height. I plan on lifting as well very soon but I don't want to go with a 285. I wish they had 255/80R17 like the ST Maxx's. Maybe I will settle with 255/75R17? I want to see them on a 3rd Gen truck :angrygirl:

Anyone know the weight? I have the older style Red Letters on my Jeep and they are much heavier than any other tire the same size. Wondering if these have that weight as well.
