I have no familiarity with Gunner Crates, but before I would spend that much I would just buy an Owens dog kennel. Aluminum diamond plate and virtually indestructible. I have one, and several friends with high price hunting dogs do as well. Comparable in price to the Gunner, and tougher than plastic with locking handles

Have you seen the crash test videos of these? They are INSANELY tough.

"The Gunner Kennel is the hands-down top performing crate of the 2015 study. Using the strength rated connection straps (sourced from Gunner Kennels) the product withstood the significant forces generated in the CPS testing."

Look up "enzymes by Diane" and feed the dog them. My dog could not eat anything her pancreas was so bad but she ate well for the last year on these. Raw food diet also and that helped a lot. I have lots of the enzymes left over too if they work and you want more. I think we have .75 kgs in package

Took the muts on a little day trip. First time in snow for all three. Went on a pretty rugged trail. They got bounced around quite a bit. Chance (5 mos) gets car sick.

Awesome Great Pyr.!!! I really like those dogs and almost rescued one last year, but someone beat us to him.

Our neighbor has one and my dog loves playing with her. Here's a pic of them together.

Thanks for the feedback. Ended up with a Ruff Tough, largely due to convenience (I could obtain it easily and locally) and price (about 300). We'll see how it goes.

I love these puppies to death, but after having to deal with 11 of them and their poop, I'm done breeding.

Appreciate that. I have read about enzyme replacement powder for badly damaged pancreas that cannot digest food as well anymore. He is eating well right now. I will definitely ask my vet about that on his next check up. I hope he won't need it tho.

I think it's fine to give whenever. All it really does it help digest the food. Me personally I would be giving it to any dog I had with any pancreas issues especially if they were eating dry packaged foods. I'm no vet but I would recommend a raw diet and these enzymes. Good luck

They make a handle kit for them but if you use a mud river cover you have to take them off, and the cover has handles and tie downs built in. If she starts to chew the door there are also metal liners and covers you can get for the doors too.

If you haven't seen them before for traveling\hunting the most useful water dish I have ever used is also available. They are an upland classic and work great. Good luck on the crate training!

Camping Rottie: She can across her first deer. Sat down and watched them. Such a good pup.

Just bought the Rough Tough Extra Large for my Rottie at Cabellas on Saturday. No way I could have gotten the large. Told them it was $285 on manufactures site. They had it for $349. They let me have it for $300.

    20170527_121509-01.jpg

For what they are I think they are over priced. But I can't see spending $600 on a Gunner Kennel.
