Searched, but can't find what I'm looking for.

Everything I see says that for the ARB Twin compressor, it requires a manifold for air lockers, filling tires, etc.

Well, what if I don't need air lockers? If I only wanted to use this for filling tires or whatever else and just needed the one single output, do I really need the manifold?

The twin doesn't have a manifold apparently...or it has one that just has a single output and if you want to run dual lockers + air up, you need the other one.

Weird, I was just about to ask this same exact question. Some say you need it, and some say you don't. Can't make up my mind if I want to order the manifold or just skip it.

The photo I linked is on the ARB box for it apparently, looks like they just come right off the compressor itself, no manifold.

my thought is it's probably good to have
mount the pressure switch and relief valve
and 1 quick disconnect on it and optionally run a line to the back of the truck for another quick disconnect
again just my initial limited OBA education reply

Don't need the manifold if you just want to use the compressor as a compressor. Just installed mine today in my other truck. The pressure switch is built in already aswell. I just ran my hose and pressure relief valve off a "T" from the hole on top of the compressor setup.

Brendan, just received mine in the mail on Friday. Read through the directions and I still have questions. First, do you remember the thread fittings? Secondly, I'm guessing the pressure relief valve is a good idea? I guess I don't understand where the pressure would be built up… Just in the compressor I'm guessing. What bracket did you use? I like how the stainless hose runs into a fixed point on the bracket, looks nice.

The thread fittings are the universal 1/4" NPT.

I purchased the pressure relief valve (175PSI) just as a precaution in case of an internal pressure switch failure, AND I like to manually release the pressure from the system after use because The pump will keep air inside of it after use. I like to drain the last bit of air out after I'm all done running my air tools or inflating tires.

The bracket I used for my Raptor (pictured) is from BajaMod. Its specific to the 2017+ F150 Raptor as far as mounting under the rear seats. But I'm sure it can be adapted for many other applications. I had to drill the hole in the bracket to mount the stainless hose and the air chuck myself.

Why do you want the dual just to fill up tires? Faster fill up time? Are you planning on running air tools? Or lockers in the future? Just curious as to why not save money and get the single.

Exactly. I was originally signed up for the dual in the group buy. But reading (even from arb) they say if it's just tires do the single.

I had the single in my Tacoma (CKMA12) it was GREAT as far as a solid and reliable compressor. It just took a long time to inflate 33"s after airing down, it also couldn't run any air tools. I was kinda sick of sitting in the dirt and waiting for the tires to air up, granted it was only a few mins per tire.

When i bought my Raptor, I decided on board air is a must and splurged for the dual (CKMTA12) and ill never go back. In inflates my 35" tires crazy fast and i can run my air impact for tire rotations off the compressor. It also can run a lot of other air tools and is very versatile.

You cant beat ARB compressors, I've had both. But, if i could do it again, id get the dual everytime

My reasoning was I may in the future want to do a front locker. Also, a few guys on here have a single and wish they would've gotten the duel. By once, cry once sorta thinking, I guess.

Exactly... after having both, I would never consider the single again. If you're thinking about the single, honestly, id just save a few more pennies and get the dual.

I just bought the single for airing up. The no power tools is kind of a bummer which I found out after the fact. The inflate for my 33s isn't too bad. I did a timed run at home and only took 8.5 minutes which was better than my shitty viar I had previously that broke.

For sure better than the Viair! The single is a great little compressor and it worked very well for me. The only downside is time. Im lazy as fuck, and getting old. So, the less time i have to spend squatting down the better lol
