Oh so contrary to popular belief here your Ram didn't break down immediately upon leaving the dealership?

We get tons of rental vehicles, everyone always fights over the rams. Real world best riding and best mpg's of the 1/2 tons. And a 400hp Hemi!

No because I would be driving a Dodge Dakota and not a Tacoma.

Tundra is great....I do miss my Tacoma for creeping in tight spots in the woods(like gathering firewood). The power is awesome! Gas mileage blows, creature comforts are refreshing. I can haul a much bigger trailer with a skid stear now. So if it fits, it's great if you don't need it, why bother having envy?

Yeah, my 97 Dakota with 6cyl and 5speed MT was a really good truck. If they were still making them, that would be my first choice. But when that 19 year old truck that I worked hard to maintain started to go, it really started to go......Tacoma was an easy choice and glad to own it. All the complaining on TW - meh....

Yeah this is my 1st Toyota product and I don't mind owning a product from the people that brought us Pearl Harbor. (Even though they tried killing my grandfather)

Here is the 2003 I traded off April of 2015.

If anyone told me 20 years ago someday I would own a Japanese car, I would have have probably had a laughing fit.
My current situation means practicality over all, and the Tacoma I purchased is US built, but I do hear you loud and clear.....

Well I said a few prayers (and I'm not even religious) and kept my fingers crossed. Lol

I had a Dakota and the tranny crapped out before I hit 40,000 miles. I'll stick with Toyota.

This is a funny thread. We always thought we'd be towing more, but we never needed to. I made the trade after much thought, and am happy I did. I do miss the interior size and all the nooks and crannies for storage, and the larger bed was nice, but otherwise am very happy. Great mpg, nice solid feel, great cabin tech, and I've been wheeling on trails already that the Tundra would have struggled on, size-wise. No regrets.

In 10 years you may be saying the same thing about a GM or Ford product. You never know.

Can't say older brother but my twin brother off roads his 2014 TSS Tundra 3.5" lift w/ 37" tires and rear ARB Lockers. Its more capable than my 2016 TRD Off Road with 33" tires. He pushes his truck and if you're not afraid of pin strips then its a more capable vehicle.

And they all have modern interiors. The only redeeming feature about the Tundra is the resale value.
