That's a big difference. It would bother me too. Mine looks just about right. Hope you get it worked out.

Mine is slightly off as well but not enough to bother me.

What was the outcome with the dealer?
I noticed my 2106 Tacoma TRD OR has the exact issue with the bed not aligning with the cab.

Yup! I did the same thing, the torx bit cost $4 and it took 10 minutes to loosen the bolts and kick it into alignment. Then I noticed that the gap on the bumper was off. I haven't looked into the bumper mounting system yet but I'm happy with the bed being aligned. I'm a Quality Assurance Manager and I'm sure Toyota wouldn't like it one bit if I went to the Texas plant and did an audit!! They would have corrective action requests up the wazoo!

Dealer said it would have to go to the body shop. Fu&$ it, I have just lived with it since they would probably screw something up.

    Thanks,
I already have a request in with the dealer to repair the hood adhesive separating.
They are having me take the truck to a local collision center to quote the repair.
I will contact my service writer and have them resolve this issue at the same time.

    2106 eh.
Is it available in a diesel yet or do we have to wait for the 15th gens?

    oops ... 2106......lol

My guess we will probably will have to wait for the 15th gen to burn diesel, but by that time the energy and emission standards will be so strict that there will only be an electric option available

Just throwing my .2 cents in here, I just bought my truck. Found out about the bed alignment issue through TW, went out and looked at the bed, sure as shit it is WAY out of alignment, along with the bumper. I am trying to get the dealership to call me back, which has not been easy and it is not an quick trip there...so I guess I might be doing this myself and sending them a bill for my time.

So in lue of starting a new thread. If I need to realign my bed do I just need a T55 torx and to loosen the 6 bed bolts then shimmy it around?

Gonna Keep this thread alive. Just picked up my 22 and it has the same issue. Drivers side bed is not flush with the cab. My ocd is really kicking in now! So was it an easy fix or something a body shop needs to do because of the other alignment of the rear bumper? Hope there’s some answers.

My 2015 bed is right on. I'm really disappointed to read about this issue. Questioning another Tacoma purchase now.
