Got around to installing my fox 2.0 Kit. Front differential drop, swaybar relocate kit, Eastcoast gear front diff bearing, Dever Add a leafs, removed overload spring 3° shims, ball joint upper control arms, center driveshaft bearing drop, ran 3/8 spacer on top of the fox coil on driver side, with 4 turns up on the coil, on passenger side, quarter inch spacer with two turns on the coil, 17x9 -12OS 275/70/17 ATX LT's 40psi, sits pretty level, drives amazing, way better than stock, ride is less stiff than the stock TRD Bilstein, really nice on unpaved roads. Like having a new truck!

get rid of the diff drop if you have done the ECGS bushing. the diff drop is 100% pointless at that point and only hangs the front diff further down in the way of getting hit.

Thanks, I read the post about it potentially damaging the differential, and at worst case, many other parts of the truck if it hit something. However my truck will never see any hard-core off roading, just fire roads and beaches. (I certainly won't be close to any rock that would hit the bottom of my truck) So I originally left the diff drop out, set the truck to ride height, and noticed the CV joints had rubber touching on 3 of the peaks in the boot. After I installed it there was a good 1/8 inch between each peak. I do understand where you're coming from, and I appreciate your concern; but for the amount of road driving I do, I'd rather save the CV boots.

ah ok. well you have a 100% logical thought process there, cant argue with that.

How much lift did you get up front?

I love it, takes bumps, and handles the road much, much better than the stock TRD suspension, I only went up 4 turns on the driver side, and two on the passenger, I used small spacers to get rid of the rest of the taco lean, and get just a bit more lift, I also used tubular, ball joint style control alarms, which at full droop, are about 3 mm from the coil (don't know how anyone could retain factory control arms with this kit, they would hit the coil at full articulation) worked out perfect. Sits level with a full tank of gas.
So I would have to say it depends on what you're trying to achieve, kings and fox, are both great. If it helps you my friend with a toy tech lift w/5100s came for a ride with me today, he is now contemplating switching them out. Hope this helped a little. By the way, absolutely no rubbing.

In case anybody is interested, these are my alignment specs, they had a firm suspension option on the alignment machine, initially I set the caster at 2, but One of the Tecs that was very good with aligning lifted trucks, took it for a ride, brought it back in, and set it up almost one more degree. Said it was one of the best riding, lifted Tacoma's he has aligned. I'm really happy with this kit, I have about 300 miles on it now, just keeps getting better. Going to throw it on the lift tomorrow and re-torque everything.

Good to hear your alignment cams weren't seized, wasn't able to get mine aligned after I installed my 2.0's. Still waiting to replace the LCA's. Mine's also a 13'

I have aligned mine regularly, you sure you can't just replace the bushings on the lower control arms. I know it's a pain and it may be more cost-effective to buy new ones, definitely make sure you do upper control arms the factory ones will hit the coils.

I left mine set at the preset 2" lift, I have just enough clearance between the UCA and coil at full droop.

Good to hear your cams weren't seized, you should pull and geese/antiseize them while you still can.

How'd you end up cranking the coil up, did you put it on a press to take the tension off as recommended by Fox?

I did pull the cams out and never-seize them when I put the lift in it.. I actually have a wall-mounted coil spring compressor, I went 4 turns up on the driver side with a 3/8 spacer; and two turns up on the passenger side with a 1/4 spacer. I got a 1/16" under 3 inches of lift. That's good to hear that the control arms won't hit when left at 2 inches, my friend is getting the same kit as us, and wants to do it with the factory control arms, now I can let him know it's possable. Just a suggestion do the ECG diff bushing while you have the lower control arm out, it makes it really easy. I put mine in when I did my lift. The truck only has 45,000 miles on it, when I grabbed the CV shaft it moved up-and-down a good 3/8". I have a friend with a toy tech boss kit; installed it three months ago and now it started to vibrate really bad.. I did buy the tool to do it from ECG. My friend is going to use it on his truck, but then I could probably loan it out.. let me know.

I plan on doing the ECGS eventually but we'll see, ideally it would be while the LCA's are out. However if I end up having someone else do the LCA's (I don't have a lift and if I have to cut them it will be a pain on jacks) I may have to wait to do the ECGS on my own. I got super minimal vibes between 35-40mph after I installed the 2" lift but i've been living with it.

Your buddy should be all set as they come preset from Fox, however I did run a toytec lean spacer on the drivers side so I didn't have to bother with adjusting them. I ended up getting exactly 2" on both sides so it worked out perfect. 22" on all 4 corners with the TSB leaf pack.

Try it without your sway bar, you'll love it. I commute 40 miles round trip on the highway and it hasn't been an issue, if that's what your worried about.
