Anyone have there blower motor crap out. Mine just took a dump at 11k miles sounded like someone threw rocks into it. Dropped it off at the dealer they inspected it no mice or debris just took a dump on its own. The dealer is telling me they are backordered 250 units and have no idea on wait time I need my truck and they don't have a truck for a lowner any idea where I might be able to score one there easy to replace.

    Thanks.

Check with your local Oreilly's or if you have an XL parts check them too. The blower motors aren't pricey and are simple to change out

I wonder if Bergstrom/Kysor manufacturers the blower for Toyota. They have been having a shitload of quality issues lately.

I sense sarcasm. But it would actually be true in Texas. Heat makes you delirious. Ask Tiger. :D

Got the part number there normal fairly cheap and I pulled the old one out its two bolts and a plug and it drops out the bottom of the dash on the passenger side. I would demand a loaner but honestly I don't want my truck sitting out in the sun for 2 months getting hailed on or whaterever waiting for a stupid part.

Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
My 2011 Tacoma blower motor died about 5,000 miles into it's life. Replaced it under warranty and it was good for a long while. I imagine Toyota is still using those same assemblies, this is unfortunately not a new issue. It's another carryover :/

And yea, I live in SE Texas, a vehicle without AC isn't worth much here.

That stealer sounds like a looser and I'd stay away from him OP.
Find another and call Toyota corporate report his sorry ass. That's no way to treat customers and Toyota should agree.

Ok picked up the Chinese brand one from the parts store no surprise it dosent fit. It's close but the squirrel cage is to tall and the bolt holes don't line up. But it does plug in to the oem harness. I'm guessing they just slightly changed the 2nd gen to the 3rd gen. Also saw what's wrong with the oem unit they used cheep plastic and where the shaft of the motor is keyed to the fan it broke the plastic and stripped out the key way the motor it self works its the fan that sucks balls. Going to keep calling around maybe I'll get lucky and score one otherwise guess it's gonna be windows down. On the bright side guess I'll sweat all the fat off my body

Two things, first the fan cage maybe removable, (I've done swaps in other makes)sometimes a screw or grommet, and second, I would try a mini hose clamp and tighten the chit out of it till the permanent fix arrives.

The hose clamp is a genius idea I'm gonna try that! I was thinking about epoxying it but I didnt wanna mess up the warranty claim. I looked for just the fan but couldn't find a part number its sold as one unit. Gonna give the hose clamp a shot!
