    just saying I got all the safejack attachments with an adaptor to fit the factory toyota jack and it works great.
    figure the screw type jack is less likely to fail than a hydraulic one should the temps get low etc and no need to worry about seals

    Anyone ever tried one of these? Saw it on the home depot website and has decent reviews. Jack and jack stand in one. Seems like a cheaper option of the safe jack for about 60 dollars.

    I have the powerbuilt version - probably made by the same chinaman. It works, but its not tall enough for my lifted truck. I have to use some thick boards to raise it high enough

    Thank you for all the info. With the 2009 Tacoma screw jack I have the cap is a little larger than the shaft and the first shaft is a little skinnier than the second... like cap is 1-5/8, shafts are 1-3/8 & 1-1/2 approx. Are you using that kind of jack with the Safejack extensions? Have to remove the cap or use a sleeve around the thinner shaft?

    Yeah I'm going to do some measuring and figuring to see if it would go up under the axle if a tire was flat. I had a bottle jack in my '03 Dakota and it worked to rotate the tires but if you had a flat it would not go under the axle. No need buying it if that is the case with the Tacoma.

    Shift Sense Pro, HomeLink Mirror, Screen Protector, Tinted Windows, Now onto the expensive stuff
    Someone else mentioned, get a bottle jack and a block of wood. The jack can fit under the rear seat. A 2x10 or 2x12 cut into a square will be fine to stabilize the jack. If your looking for something for changing a tire on the highway, you probably don't need a block. If off roading, you should take a few blocks. They can come in handy. If you heavy off roading, high lift jack. It kind of depends what you plan on using it fir the most. Sometimes if you get stuck, you need more than a jack.
