    Hey Guys,
Has anyone here upgraded their High beams to a 55w HID kit? I ordered a 35w kit for my low beams and I was thinking of upgrading the highs to a 55w kit if I like the 35w. I have heard that the 55w kit can melt your housings, has anyone here experienced this on any Tacoma not just the 3rd gens? Cheers.

I've had 55w HIDs in my low beams for ~6 months now. No melting yet.

The highs? Not much at all. They still the stock halogens though. I wouldn't put HIDs in a reflector housing.

Yeah the cutoff is pretty decent with the oem projectors. If I ever get around to opening up the headlights I'll swap the RX350 projectors in there but it's just not worth it to me atm. I did the BHLM on my other car and the results are nice but not worth the pita labor to get it done.
