Sliders looked great also it's nice to see some that stick out and give protection. I've been considering building my own rear bumper and that may have just convinced me.

I never understood just having the ones that are tucked under. Just for looks? Mine functions as a step and full side protection, even if it does stick out a little goofy far. It's basically as far out as a kickout, but the full length.

Yeah idk either from what I have learned the outside of the slider in the front should be even with or just past the outside of the front tire and the kickout should be past the outside of the rear tire. Everybody has their own deal I guess. It's a little funky getting in and out but why have them if they're not doing their job

Changed the front diff, trans, t-case and rear diff fluids over to redline synthetic this afternoon. Had three days off work so I figured it was a good day to do so. I get the stuff through work so it's only $100. Had to replace the trans deflector gasket anyway so it worked out well. My Regular Cab is good to go for another 30k!

Precisely, if I fold my mirrors my sliders stick out the farthest on my truck to the sides.

I manage 9 independent auto parts stores. Only things I use the dealer for is oe parts and gaskets. Oil filters are cheap from Toyota. All I use anymore.

Exacttly! I like an angle to use as a kick off , not that I've used it yet, but it's all aboit function

I did a bit of modifying to get mine to fit rt which was fun there's a whole section on it in the build page I think around 9

For wheeling I prefer them tucked in closer to the vehicle so they don't hang up on additional crap on the trail. Same reason I prefer to not have kickouts, I'd much rather my tires be maneuvering me on tight trails than my sliders pushing the truck off trees, rocks, etc.

But that's what the kickout is for, to keep the tire sidewall from being cut up. I use mine from time to time to slide the rear end around.

I don't want to be on that tight of trail. I want my sliders for "oops I SLID into that" protection

I'll take a diced up sidewall over more body damage. I don't have sliders to protect my tires.

Sure. Just posting to let people know there are reasons some prefer them closer to the truck and it that it isn't necessarily for looks.
