Hey does anyone out there have a leer 180? I just got a local quote for one:

    Base: $1601
fold down/ opening rear window: $129
    heavy duty screens: $92
    carpet liner: free

    after taxes total approximately: $1949.54

Are there any other options I should consider? Also would you recommend the carpet liner? I am a little worried it might get moldy here in Florida.

Any opinions on the leer 180 compared to other caps? Am I getting a fair price?

photos of your leer 180 would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Do you plan on sleeping in the back?

If so the carpet liner is a must in my opinion, and the roof netting is also surprisingly handy.

I'd also second getting the roof tracks even if you don't currently plan on needing them, you never know what you may want in the future.

Windoors, at least on one side can be insanely handy as well.

I do not plan on sleeping in the back, the dogs will ride back there from time to time and ill keep my hunting equipment back there during the season.

If that's the case not getting the carpet might be a plus as you can then just hose down the back. I'd definitely recommend windoors if you are using it for hunting equipment. So much easier than crawling into the back to grab something.

Get the carpet! It's indoor/ outdoor and can be sprayed down. It keeps the dogs warm in winter and cool in Summer.

I hose down inside the shell all the time and I hunt a LOT. After spraying out the inside, I just leave the windows open for a day. I use a mat on the bottom and pull it out and just rinse off blood if it's not too bad. Usually, I just spray out the truck. I don't know why I've never had a cap on a truck before this one. I don't think I'll ever do without again.

Thanks for all the responses, I have decided to go with the 100XR instead. Decided that I do not need the extra head room as I will not be sleeping in it. I am still on the fence about the carpet, however, not only because I do not believe I need it but also because I am very concerned about it becoming moldy due to the extremely wet and humid conditions here in Florida. If I still lived in New Mexico I would not hesitate to pull the trigger on the carpet because I know it could thoroughly dry out there.
