    Hi everyone

    I have a SR5 tacoma 2WD 2016 and I would like to convert it to 4WD. Can you please direct me to a good place to buy the neccesary equipment?

    Toyota of York PA sells discounted oem parts over the web.

    If this is something you've never done before just be forewarned that it is a ton of work. You're probably better off just trading the truck in for one with 4wd

    I agree not only would you have to swap out a lot of hard parts there are unseen obstacles to hurdle like computer and dash switches and if there is a locker there are additional switches in the headliner console .. it will probably cost you more than the money you'll save trading it .. atleast you won't have to chase ghost "issues" later on after your done .. the only way I would think it would be feasible is if you had two "totals " .

    Sorry lkq is a high volume salvaged parts dealer .. but I would start research on ecm and harness part numbers first.

    Sounds like it's time to trade it in for a 4X4..... Way too much hassle to "add" 4X4....IMHO
