i recently installed 1.5" level kit on my 2011 Taco. I also recently noticed a kind of crunching/squeezing type sound only when braking hard in bumper to bumper traffic. The sound is definitely coming from the front. I haven't gotten an alignment yet bc I'm about to buy new tires and wanted to get it all done at once. I don't think this is suspension related noise bc I can bounce the front up and down and no noise. Has anyone experienced anything like this? It's not the pad slap altho I do hear that often and also some type of brake piston release or something about 2 seconds after releasing the brake pedal. Truck has roughly 100k miles. About to get new tires, alignment and tune up. Is there anything I can tell
The shop to do to eliminate squeezing from the front end of is coming from the suspension?

This may be a long shot but it is something easy to check. My wife's 2008 Escape was having problems with the right from caliper not releasing. I took a look and sure enough it needed new pads. I changed out both the pads and rotors, but the problem continued. It would work perfectly for a few days and then start again. I changed both calipers. Again, a few days of perfect performance and then back again. Took it in to the mechanic and gave him the whole story. Immediately, he said, have you changed the brake lines before the caliper? We always change those when replacing calipers because they can collapse. Indeed the line was collapsed. I was able to test and verify it with compress air. Happy wife, happy life.
