Abigail purposely pisses out of her box. Like she angles towards the side of the bed ( next to the litter boxes in spare bedroom)

Yeah I feel bad for him and hate seeing his health decline. Kidneys are failing and his day will come before I know it. Some days I wish he would just go ( not just from his bathroom habits) but I don't if I'm really ready for it. Had him since he was 2 months old so there's a lot of history there.

 

Such tough choices, I've been there and don't envy you. Quality of life is more important than quantity imho.

My deceased Precious was part Maine coon..7 toes on the front, 5 on the back. Vet said he was 2 toes short of the record.

 

I would like a main coon, very cool cats.

My ex had a cross-eyed tabby cat and that dude was a major doofus.

 

This. Solved my problems with litter getting all over the bathroom too.

Defintely the boot tray @Cuffs advised. If the cat is older try getting a lower box..that helped when I had my Pumpkin.

My Pumpkin had the same. Diagnosed at 14 and lived to 22-23. We also had Precious from 18-20 yrs old with the same.

Smart cats, sometimes too smart for their own good. I trained Precious on time-out when he misbehaved.

 

Yup I totally agree. I've had to let a few go and letting go of alberts sister was the hardest by far. Knowing he's outlived her by over 3 years gives me some comfort when his time comes. Right now he's a happy cat, eats and drinks but sometimes howls in the middle of the night. We think he might be forgetting where he's at . Happens to me all the time

She's not that old and has no problems using the litter box most of the time.

 

I had to go the small box route with Pumpkin..she was always a small cat

 

Cross eyed as all get out. Sweet as can been but just dumb as a box of rocks. If there was a short bus for cats, he'd have been the driver.
His cuteness made up for all his stupid shit. So loving. 'Talked' to you like you were having a conversation. Loved raw eggs.
Poor shit had intestinal problems that even two major surgeries couldn't prevent a third time...

 

If this was intended for me... thank you! I hope he makes it another few months so he can hang out with his Christmas decoration buddies. For like the last 4 years just sits on the wall for hours next to bumble. Weird ass cat!!!

 

I found Ronald as a kitten and he had a tough start. He's the dumbest cat I've ever seen but I'm pretty sure he never got to socialize with other kitties growing up so that kinda broke him, and made him anti-social. Would not trade him for the world but I know with the start he got in life he won't last as long as my last two cats.

I don't know if howling at night is a problem more him showing you who's boss. My last cat Ed did it early on because he knew who the boss was!
