Got my truck last year in nov, truck had 3 miles when i test drove it, could not stand the idea of me leaving without the truck of my dreams. Rolled out with it on the 26th with 12 miles goodbye 15 camry. Today i still have the tacoma with almost 7k miles, do what work i can when my damn unit does not kill off my personal time. I have many plans for the tacoma some people think im nuts but i want to go long travel im fully aware of the risks and the money, its going to take time but i know i can get it done shit should not be to hard considering all i do is work on damn 8x8 14 ton strykers and thats everyday in the army for me lol money is what is holding me back so its going to take a few years but im doing the interior when i have the space for it because its the easiest and cheapest for now, will upload pics when im done. Would like to have the tan panels riveted to the damn doors on the limited tacomas though because personally not a big fan of the basic interior lol sounds dumb but if its going to be something i want to have forever it has to be near perfect. Nanes denton btw and enough about me heres the beast so far before i upload more pics.20170220_132339.jpg 20170220_132247.jpg 20170220_132339.jpg 20170220_132247.jpg 20170220_132307.jpg 20170220_132307.jpg

Welcome to TW, and we apologize to your wallet now.

I do have a long bed, not LT (yet?). But I've built up the Mid Travel pretty well. If you haven't already, go read the LT sub-forum and the "So you want to go LT" thread. Lots of the information you'll need to design your suspension.

Some thoughts: LT benefits from larger tires, which require either massive fender trimming or fiberglass. Some one is making an awesome looking set of glass fenders for the third gen, I've seen them in person and would recomend for looks.

Larger tires also benefit from re-gearing, while you've got the Difs open is a good time to add lockers.

The good news is that you can do tires, lockers, glass fenders _before_ you do the LT. IMO this looks better, and will make the truck incrementally more capable as you go.

Also, start a build thread now :)
