    I bought my long bed just because i didnt want my bikes to sit on the tailgate and bend it overtime. so tailgate down and bed extender on best choice over short bed i think. Plus holds everything in place when tailgate up.

    No such thing as a "long bed" Tacoma. If someone wants to see a true long bed they need to look at full size trucks, those things are as long as limousines.

    I highly recommend the Moto-Gate! Much more versatile than a rigid extender.
