Argh! I'm almost done with my first wiring harness and I ran out of electrical tape.

    :annoyed:

This makes me sad since I can't run out till tomorrow. On a pleasant note, I'm almost done with a wiring harness to connect some items in my bed to my switch pro.

I've done a bunch of things to the truck actually but haven't shared since I'll need something for a build thread..... lol coming soon!

Why are you using so much electrical tape for a wiring harness...https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SPMDFPW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I've got 3 wires, 10 guage, that are in a split loom. I'm wrapping that split loom with electrical tape since that's what the factory stuff under the truck has done. I want to make sure it doesn't get screwed off-roading or in weather or whatever.

I had 2 almost empty rolls... just need 1 more lol. Not wrapping it the whole way, but as much as I feel like wrapping ahhahaha

holy shit that is excessive...you don't need to do that, homie. Crimp well. Use heatshrink connectors. Then use the heatshrink I posted to cover up those connectors since crimping can go through the connector heatshrink. Then cover in plastic loom anywhere on outside of cab. Zip tie every foot so the wires dont come out. If you have decent wire and place them in smart out of the way places, you'll never have problems.

Right on! I did solder my connections on those and covered with heat shrink. I used heatshrink ring connectors as well. There are some spots where I will need some tape to route the wires from the harness to the accessory... gonna t junction some loom.

Who knows man... it's there if I ever need it :). I was planning for 30amps. So should be good at 20 feet and 25 feet.

What I'm wiring now won't need it. The thinner wire is for the water pump I put in the large cubby. One other wire for the 12v/USB ports in the other cubby. One extra wire for future.

Approximately 25 feet of loom there.... maybe a little more. It's enough to get from engine bay to drivers rear of bed and then across to passenger rear of bed.

Gotcha...I was thinking you were wiring LEDs or something. My complete wiring revamp is nearly done. Started late and ran out of daylight to finish today. :annoyed:
