Decided to make a thread to document the build of my 2005 Tacoma. Picked her up a year ago with 205 000km. Now I've got 220 000km with very little issues. (Brakes, u joints, wheel bearing, pinion seal) nothing major if you have basic tools and a spot to pick at it.

So far, I've got 4" lift on 215's (snow tires, and the look bad) finally saved up enough money for wheels and new 33s.

So I picked up these Eagle alloy wheels a couple months ago and decided to give them a semi gloss black paint job. They were pretty dirty and needed a lot of clean up and prep work. The
wheels are 17x10 with -21 offset. They will be wrapped in 33/12.5/17 Ginell M/T's.

After pressure washing and giving them a thorough cleaning I bought a bunch of dremel buffs and started stripping the crud off the wheels.

Got them all cleaned up and washed them with some wax and grease remover. Then when the wind died down a bit, me and my dad started spraying.[IMG]

Two coats of primer and then let them dry overnight. (Spraying the inside of the lip was harder than it looks)

Woke up early and started spraying black. Got two coats of black and set them in to dry for the day before taking them to Action Truck Accessories for my buddy to mount them for me.

While I was out I dropped these off at a shop and got them sandblasted.

They'll be ready for pickup tomorrow, and then painting them the same as the wheels.
The fake beadlock studs were pretty corroded so I spent a couple hours cleaning them up.[IMG]

Getting my wheels back tomorrow, and then installing them on Saturday. Will post some pictures when done. Here's the tires going on the wheels.

Those wheels look good after a little elbow grease!
