Kinda like how you buy something it takes the money right away. When you want a refund, you have to wait 3-5 business days for the money to come back.

 

So today I found out something that explains everything.
First, I have to give a bit of backstory. For the longest time, my mother didn't know who her father was. He was forbidden to tell her, and on one occasion, her "step-father" and his friends beat him half to death when he went to finally tell her. So when he learned that he was dying of cancer, he came here from Kentucky to tell her that he was her actual father.
So now that we know who her father was, I have been doing some research. Annnd... It turns out that my parents are half second cousins or something like that. Same great great grandfather, different grandmother.
So I guess all the people that called me an inbred hick son of a bitch was kinda right.
