Tundra's dont have a rear locking diff, but in 4LO ATRAC is on. Something that Tacomas went away with with the new Control settings.

Except the Tundra bilstein's 2.5" shafts digressive valving with remote resi's.

its not an internal bypass like the tacoma, but different function. i chose the tundra because the tacoma was just too small.

You better test drive both. The 4Runner is a ten times better vehicle than the Tacoma in any trim level. I have both and the Tacoma will be history as soon as I fine the right deal to dump it.

uhhh the bilstein's on the Pro Tundra are NOT the same as the bilstein's on the TRD OR Tacoma, they're more similar to the 2015 TRD Pro Tacoma suspension which is basically equivalent to Bilstein 6112s. They're a much fatter tube, remote resi's and unlike the Fox shocks they don't have to be rebuilt every 10-50k miles.

I'd actually prefer the old bilstein pro suspension myself, I've had bilstein's last me 150k hard miles. I've never ran fox suspension but I've had friends blow through theirs within 3 years. Plus there's a bilstein factory in my city and from experience if you take them a blown strut they'll rebuild it for free, I had bilsteins on my E36 M3, the struts were leaking and even though they were already 8 years old bilstein still hooked it up.

As others have said the suspension on the Tundra is upgraded. But the cosmetic stuff is shared across the Tacoma and Tundra.

However I do agree the Tacoma is more practical/capable for most off-roading applications.

I picked Tacoma over a tundra. Wasn't even an option for me. However I will say I was looking at new c/k2500 sierra denali 4x4's before the taco. I just don't need that much towing capacity anytime in the near future so I got the "cool" truck lol.

What would you say makes it ten times better? I've been told they look like dad cars and I would have to agree...I'm not ready to be a father

The Tacoma TRD Pro comes in a Manual Transmission. The Tundra and 4runner don't.

Might as well come buy one here. $53,100 in Canadian rupees. That's like $200 USD.

i might say this too if i didn't already purchase, with the continued QA dramas. but actually my truck has been perfect, problem free, super satisfying and a really great drive. i got the first delivered MT Pro allocation in Texas, $45k OTD, and i can say it's been worth every damn penny so far. but not for a penny more than that.

Tacoma with Tundra engine. All the power, none of the bloat and fugly.

Go drive the tundra pro, no comparison to the Tacoma, IMO
