I guess the good thing is, by the time we get to modding the Runner extensively, there should be some good options out there that are more wallet friendly :D

I feel like this is me and my truck. It sometimes doesn't start after running, shutting it off then trying to start again. Drive hasn't been fully engaging to where it causes it to shift hella weird. And the rack is toast. It's so frustrating.

The not starting thing is because of the cable from the battery to the starter. I need new terminals. It's been an issue for over a year, I'm just lazy. The turn signal I fixed with Jb Weld. I still think this is the best the truck has ever felt to drive. Straight down the freeway, hands off the wheel at 85, no wobbles, no nothing.

A while back I rear ended somebody on the freeway on my way home from work. No damage to the other car, very little to the civic, just expensive...

At the dealer finally for my whining issue. Or.. my Runner's whining issue. :anonymous:

Going to scope the bearings on one of the pulleys next to the alternator. Old guy told me submerging the engine is bad for pulleys. :bananadead:

Tried to charge me $150 to diagnose, even though my power train warranty isn't over until November.

    Still waiting for actual diagnosis.

3 hrs later they say they can't pinpoint the source with a scope, and give me an estimate for $1100+ for a reman alternator, tensioner pulley and 2 pulley assemblies.

Suggest I start with the cheapest and keep replacing things until it goes away.

    Waste of an afternoon.
