Hello All! Been lurking on the site for a while and finally bit the bullet.

Story of how I got back into a Toyota, had a 1990 P/U for years and loved that stead; had a 2001 Jeep XJ for a while and built it for small trails and daily use. Loved my XJ despite it's downsides, that is until the transmission died going over CA-36 in the middle of nowhere. Two days later I found a 2012 TRD OR with just shy of 54k in Portland and made the 6 hour trek with my wife from Klamath and picked up the new rig. Drove it back to Humboldt the next day and started making it mine (removing tape stripes, dipped the front emblem, and got my 20" Rigid E2 Combo behind the upper grill).

I am excited to have a rig that is dependable and rides as nice as they do (I had forgotten what a longer wheelbase and IFS feels like). Eventually I will throw some wheels and tires on the rig, but for now the 17" sport wheels will do.

    So far the plan is:
Tires, likely the 265/70r17 KO2's, ran KO2's on my XJ and loved them before I swapped Toyo AT2's. I'd love to run 265/75r16, but KO2's are load E only in that size and I will not make that mistake again (Load E on a 3300lbs rig was like rolling on rocks).
Wheels; either Methods or maybe the FN Countersteers (20lbs).
AFE Intake, have to officially be living outside the darn CARB's sphere of influence
    AFE exhaust (probably the 3")
    Tint the windows.
