Caliraised Pod Mod

Bought a set of his inexpensive pods will full intentions of ripping them apart. Great little light for the $$, I just can't stand the chrome.(plus, I wanted Amber lens). Below is a cheap DIY blackout/Amber mod. Thanks again!


1)Unscrewed the front and removed the lens. Masked off the chrome and left the reflector bowl only(so the performance of the light output is not altered)


Painted(satin black)


Next, traced the OEM lens out of my Amber acrylic. 1/8" IIRC


Bezel and screws painted to match. Sorry logo it gone



Will get them mounted, but this is how they should come IMO.

P.S... Did I void my warranty??

 

Is the chrome really noticeable once you make them amber?

 

Yes. It makes it bright orange(just look at the reflector bowls and imagine the whole thing that shade)

 

man, you might have a good side gig cranking these out and selling them. i would be intrested in a set.
