    BBC - inhopnito

    Description:
"Under cover of cloak and darkness, we took a brand new unnamed hops and built a classic American IPA. InHOPnito is a refreshing brew with medium body and bitterness, yet high in aroma and flavor. The scent of cantaloupe, light citrus and berries stands out and its not-so-secret flavor follows suit with more tropical notes and a subtle caramel accent."

Does me no good to not know what hop it was. o_O

Doesn't it take 2-3 years for it to grow up a trellis and become harvestable?

I think it does take a while. Was just going to grow them for fun.
Not sure if I want to yank the coral honeysuckle out though.

They'll usually at least give the hop a number for patenting (I'm guessing).

Friend of mine got a whole variety of experimental "numbered" hops from a brewery that didn't want them. Some were good. Some were weird (like tons of pepper... bleh)

Depends, years back I got a couple healthy rhizomes and the first year they grew to 15 feet and I was able to get some hops. 2nd year it was crazy, many shoots came up to the point where I pruned any new shoots and it was the same for years after that.

    Tastes like thin mint cookies.

Like thin mints, I could easily take down 10 or more in one sitting.

Also like thin mints, I would regret life the next morning.

Good beer but I won't be buying another six pack. It's very malty and the hops are buried which just isn't my preference. I much prefer a balanced traditional English pale or a hoppy northwest style pale.

I'm a huge fan of these microbrews, only available at select locations select times of year.
