I'm going to make a wildly uneducated guess and assume S&W is rolling out all these rebates on the M&Ps because of the new line of 2.0 that just hit the showroom floor? They look beautiful with the updates to the platform and components. Are they just trying to reduce the amount of stock they've got on the (1.0?) platforms? Anyways I took advantage of it.

I saw that, an XDm might be in my future purchases

I also took advantage of it. Picked up the shield 45. Shoots surprisingly well for being such a small 45. I'm normally a glock-ruger fan but couldn't pass up the rebate deal. 336$ shipped from gunbuyer then 75$ off. I might need a couple. :fenforcer:

...i've got a couple of the 1.0s, known for the ubiquitous "mushy" trigger... after handling a 2.0 last weekend, i'd much prefer the 2.0, ...way better trigger...

The 2.0 is a fantastic pistol.

I think I am going to have to pull the trigger on one of these ;). Cabelas has them for $375 plus the $75 mail in rebate. I can't decide if I should get the one with the sights. I have read night sights are not too helpful except to help locate it. I have a Springfield XDM, so this would be a good addition.

Palmetto State Armory has had the 9mm M&P Shield for $214 after the rebate. I bought one for $20 more - wish I'd have waited but I think I still got one at and great price.

Be careful as there's an option w/safety & one w/o safety. Get the version you prefer when ordering.

I ordered the one with the safety. $300 after rebate is the best price I have found in Alaska.

How do these shoot? Looking at one in 9mm, usually I hope to try before I buy but I am tempted to just jump on it
