Hi everyone, I am a new Tacoma owner previously had two Fords and switched and have a couple of questions about my new truck which has 30k miles on it mostly highway. I'm taking it to a Toyota dealer this Friday on the 9th to check out a rattling noise coming from the passenger side which by the way no one sits in its usually just me and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this same issue and what to tell my service tech who handles my appointment. Also, what is a quiet tire that rides well on the highway but can handle frozen roads as well when needed because where I'm from we do have a couple of days in the year where roads sometimes freezes over I would like something quieter than the factory Goodyear Kevlars that came on the truck. Here is a pic of my truck its completely stock other than a few cosmetic upgrades mainly decals I've had done so far and before I forget, what remote starters do you recommend for the 2016 Tacoma TRD Off-Road push to start? I want one before next winter comes around. Thank you guys for helping me and please serious answers only as I'm new to this forum.

Get some Michelin tires. Go to a tire store they'll hook you up with some good quiet street tires.

i second the michelins, i'm on my second set of ltx m/s defenders now, ~79,000 miles on the first set
they are quiet, look great, ride well and handle rain/snow like no other
the first set lasted me through my college years in boone, NC winters and i never hesitated to take my truck out, no matter how much snow was on the ground; they're that good

The rattle is likely the cover on the speaker on the dash. There are a few threads on this. Some have fixed it by pushing on the a pillar and snapping it in place. Others have placed material between the a pillar and speaker cover. I just waited until summer came and it went away.

My ATs were starting to wear out, so I decided to go back with some Michelin HTs today. Ended up getting some Michelin X LTs (CostCo's Michelin Defender). The ride quality is awesome and it feels like the truck is new; I do not hear them at all. Would highly recommend a Michelin highway tire for someone wanting a good quiet ride.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
If the rattle is inside passenger side near dash, this would be my suggestion as well.

there is actually another rattle occurring and its the side panel of dash, and door, i just put one of those soft pads you put under light lamps etc and seems to work.

IMG_1297.jpg The rattling sounds like it's coming from this area of inside the vehicle is this the pictured area where people are talking about? Look how that A pillar looks like it has a bow to it down toward corner of glass

Mine rattles there sometimes and I just hit it with the palm of my hand , that usually fixes it for a while.
