You realize that there are more than 500 CEOs in the U.S. right? You also didn't specify that earlier. If you want to have a say in CEO pay you should become a shareholder. Also, what does pushing your ideology have to do with this topic?

Someone has to pay for the inflated salaries at the top and inflated stock prices. One reason why the 3rd.Gen is overpriced for the build quality and lack of upgrades.

Akio Toyoda, the Toyota CEO earned about $3.5 million last year. If his pay went to zero how much would Toyota's expenses go down? You think that a customer's purchase price for a truck goes directly to my 50 shares of Toyota stock? Are you serious? I challenge you to prove the bs that you're pushing. Do the math and some research and let me know what you come up with.

I like that truck, and it has a full floating rear axle. At least Tacoma's aren't cursed with those awful C-clip axles.

3.5 Mil Salary for a CEO is conservative for a fortune 500 company but not the norm.

14mpg :rofl::rofl:. See below for last week.

Fast forward, this weekend. I was averaging 23mpg. I towed same trail unloaded ~20mi one way and then loaded on the way back with 10 sheets of 1/2 ply, 24 2x4x10, 20 bundles of shingles, PVC trim, and a lot of other odds and ends. I averaged 21.5 on the return trip according to my math. I live in SW New Hampshire, it is not exactly flat.... I average 55 to 60mph in 5th and 6th gear. I need to downshift when pulling up a large hill and even passed a car in a passing zone. I honestly don't understand how you guys such shit mileage?

Auto Lender Santander Checked Income on Just 8% in Subprime ABS

Santander Consumer USA Holdings Inc., one of the biggest subprime auto finance companies, verified income on just 8 percent of borrowers whose loans it recently bundled into $1 billion of bonds, according to Moody’s Investors Service.

Federal regulations put in place following the 2008 financial crisis effectively outlawed stated-income loans in the mortgage market. Under the new requirements, mortgage lenders must take specific steps to ensure home buyers actually can afford the loans.

It seems that those of us that our happy with our 3rd Gens are always having to defend them against all the whiners. Grew a pair, if you don't like your truck get rid of it, but just hanging around here constantly crying and moaning really makes you look bad.

That's been the great conundrum. My 16 suffered horrible mileage as well. I know it's not my driving style at all. I get over 18mpg combined in my 6.2L Silverado, which exceeds the rated average.

I don't know how these Tacoma's vary so greatly. The dealership I bought mine from flat out refused to even acknowledge my concerns on the matter. I was really, really not happy.

Had my tranny issues been resolved to satisfaction, and the vehicle mpg was at least close to average, I may not have traded it. I would have bought a trailer to fit all my hunting shit. I was just tired of the dealership B.S.
