Waiting on my S&W Shield to come in from PSA. For $200 after MIR, why not

Anyone know of a place that has G23 .40 stock length barrels in stock? Looking to replace the factory barrel for a fully supported chamber (reloading purposes) yeah yeah I know, that's what makes it more reliable

I can dig this. The loaded chamber indicator on my shield annoys the shit out of me when I try to line my sights and take some quick shots. Protrudes too far up in my opinion. I was going to fuck with it and either get rid of it or shorten it, but since I bought it specifically for CC... didn't want to mess with the gun basics and get in trouble for it if I ever had to surrender it.

you're fine. Mine was modified without the LCI and they just checked to confirm my serial numbers matched. You can have an off roster firearm on your CCW permit as well. Modify away!

My instructor told me "everyone freaks out if you do a trigger job or change sights, if you're on trial for killing someone, your sentence wont be any shorter or longer because you modified your trigger."

also, my Sig doesnt have an LCI, so its not a "requirement"

Good to know. My instructor from El Dorado County basically said the opposite. He told us not to add anything that could give the judge/jury anymore reason to think you were "just waiting to use the gun on someone." Shit doesn't even matter anymore since I moved to Marin county in January. Had to surrender my license and I can't get a new one until I move out of this county.

its up to the issuing agency but my permit shows 0 restrictions. Might as well have a tool that you like and shoot better with.

Since I hadn't updated about my shield. I added an apex trigger since my last update. Absolutely changed the shooting of the shield. Made the trigger more crisp and far better reset.

Also went shooting last weekend with the AR and the shield. Felt I did well and my red not is now 100% on at 50 yards. I'm happy with that.

Your sig sp2022 didn't come with a holster when you bought the gun? I heard they ship with 2 mags, adjustable back straps and a sig holster?

Might have to pick up the apex trigger for my shield. I have heard they make quite the difference. What red dot you running? Looks stupid clean.

Makes sense then. Sounds like a custom made holster will have to be the way to go when I pick mine up. Figured you were running a vortex. Love their red dots and scopes. Hard to use another brand after getting a vortex product.

Trigger isn't too bad to do if it's like the 226. short reset trigger kit isn't too expensive (like ~$50) but for mine I felt it totally worth it.

Don't get out to the range nearly as often as I'd like to. Considering I only started last year and how frequently I can get to the range I feel pretty good about my progress. That pic was everywhere between 7-15yds with the smallest cluster bottom left ~7-10yds out.

The problem also is seeing other options out there and wanting more :anonymous::annoyed:

I went with a buddy to Sunnyvale outdoor range with his semi-auto AK and M4 and we did targets 50-100 yds out and it was a ton of fun. Was way more accurate with the M4 than the AK

Where do you Bay Area folks shoot? I don't want to drive all the way to sac to pop a few rounds off every once in awhile.

It's a glock clone made by FMK. They also make an AR platform. That company has some balls to solely be based in california.

Mk25 is my first and only so far (wife's orders :anonymous:). That Glock clone is sweet - like the inscription on it :oldglory:
