I really like the tent cot. Yes it doesn't fold down as small as some cots and tents but it's easy to set up and really comfy. I keep thinking I'll grab one for when I don't want to drag the whole trailer for a one nighter.

I borrowed a buddies in the past and slept in it for 5 days straight.

I have a 5 man Ozark and it's great. Zero issues or complaints and I think it was like $60?

I like cots, but most of the time if I'm sleeping solo, I just sleep in the truck. And if I'm not sleeping solo, there's normally more than 2 of us. So maybe one day haha. Wouldn't mind an RTT on the back of the F150.

After camping with @4x4runner2002 trailer and RTT multiple times, I'm seriously considering building one

My buddy bought one of these tents for our Moab trip. Easy to set up, and pretty big inside. I didn't need any space inside. Just enough for a sleeping bag so I bought a coleman pop up tent that folds into a circle like those windshield sun shades. I love that tent. Sets up in literally seconds and folds up in seconds once you know how to do it. Pics of the tents below.

Not any bigger than a normal tent. Maybe the size of a really thick camping chair or so. My coleman pop up folds into a trashcan lid sized circle only a couple inches thick. Easy to shove in somewhere.

Man that thing sucked. He had NOTHING in there.

I'll upload some here in a bit for you.

Should I go off road tear drop or military style with a tent?

    They each have their benefits.

I like having the feel of camping with the rtt rather than being inside. I also love the interior storage space to throw dirty stuff and not worry like my chainsaw and floor jack and what not.

If I could change my set up I would do a hard side rtt with an annex.
I feel like it would be more efficient and when my girl comes camping she loves the annex to get dressed and not feel exposed.
