I have an 2001 TRD with a 2.5" lift and 285/75/16 tires on it with 1.5" spidertrax wheel spacers on 99 4runner rims.

I want to get rid of those wheel spacers as soon as possible. But I'm having trouble figuring out all the specs on rims for what I'll need to maintain clearance with the tires while getting as close to 0 offset as I can.

I went to a tire shop and the gentleman there told me that the stock rims had a +15 offset as well as the 99 4runner rims. He said that I could go to a 0 offset rim or up to a -10 offset and would clear the tires. The mistake I made was telling him that the wheel spacers were 1" instead of 1.25".Does that matter or will a 0 to -10 offset rim still work either way?

My assumption is that from a mechanical standpoint the least amount of offset the better?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Thanks, Jay

Going from a +15 to a -10 and removing the spacers would move your tires 1/4" towards your struts.

    Cool thanks!

How much clearance should I allow between the tire and upper control arm to avoid rubbing?
