I guess I can start this and add to it as I continue this journey.

Picked up a 2017 TRD Pro in Cement June 2, 2017 with 11 miles on the odometer. It came with some add-ons from the factory that I may or may not have chosen. But what can you do when demand far exceeds supply.

    sideview.jpg

Truck came with these added extras:
    - All weather floor liners and sill (this was useful)
    - Bed steps
    - Mud guards
    - 5" oval tube step (will replace with actual sliders)
    - Mini tie down loops (they're tiny and cute, i'll keep them)

    Interior:
    - LED interior light conversion kit from Amazon product link
    - OCD center console organizer
    - Rexing V1P dashcam hardwired
    - Valentine ONE radar detector
    - TRD All Weather Rubber Floor Mats

    Exterior:
    - The Retrofit Source (TRS) morimoto HID lighting kit. 5500k bulbs link to post here.
    - LED license plate bulbs
    - Philips 12835REDB2 for Tail/Stop Light

    Wheels/Tires:
    - Rotiform SIX-OR 17x9
    - Toyo Tires Open Country RT 285/70/17
    - Gorillaz lugs

    Camping Related:
    - on-board ABS 4" pressurized pipe water supply, go here to see.
    - water pipe is mounted to the bed rail with a couple quick fist clamps
    - EZ tire deflator

    -----------------

Got it home late that night so I didn't get a chance to play with it. The next day I started the process of hardwiring my Valentine One radar detector and my Rexing V1P dashcam.
The radar was actually a pretty easy installation. I had this RJ45 connector with some hard tipped prongs on the end that I just plugged into the back of the rear view mirror housing's connector. Found the right wire and it was set. I may end up getting a radar mirror mount that will clamp on the arm of the rear view mirror so it's off the windshield.
    radar_mounted.jpg
Installation time 5 minutes, 1 star (1 being easy 5 being difficult)

Next came the dashcam. I wanted to tamp off a fuse that was hot all the time because I wanted the cam to record while it was parked. So I located the dome light fuse and tapped into that. Routed the wire along the A pillar, headliner and tucked excess neatly away under the dash. Found a suitable location high enough and out of my line of sight and was done.
    dashcam_mounted.jpg
Installation time 15 minutes, 1 star difficulty
Then I went about the business of uninstalling the rear bed step. Took that off and it's now ready for its new home from another TW member that's coming by to pick up.

Bed rack, I want this so that when (not if but when) I get a RTT I'll have it all sorted out. I do some wood working for fun at home so I plan on doing some slide out drawers to store necessities and keep things stowed away and out of prying eyes.

Your radar and dash cam install look very clean! Any chance your wheels and tire will be for sale when you get the new ones? Good luck with the rest of the build!

I plan on keeping them as spares or whenever I do decide to sell the truck it would help w/ the resale if I kept all the OE parts.

Putting different lights in your truck will make you the bane of existence on the highway. You may or may not clear 33s with the stock Pro suspension depending on exact tire, and whether you go with skinny or wide 33s (255s vs 285s).

Get skids and sliders and get her dirty! Love that color.

Just picked up a set of Rotiforms SIX OR 17x9.

Didn't take me long before I started to mod the center caps, wanted the Rotiform to be in red to match the red accent on the TRD Pro.

Now need to pickup a set of Toyo open country RT's

    You have excellent taste

I think they're invaluable to have as an extra but if insurance especially when it comes to situations where it's he said she said

Finally got around to building my on-board ABS pipe water system yesterday. I was inspired by this video on YouTube

    Purchased:
    - 5' x 4" wide ABS pipe
    - 2 4" end caps
    - 1 threaded 2" stub
    - 1 2" top cap
    - 1/2" hose bib and retaining nut
    - 1 package of threaded valve stem - the one i purchased from Vato Zone was from Slime comes in a pack of 2
    - 1 radiator drain pipe
    - 1 can of ABS cement

    IMG_20170716_105920.jpg

Since I have a shortbed, a full 5' pipe wouldn't fit in the bed of the truck so I cut it down to 4.5' and accounting for the hose bib it fit perfectly in the bed. If I had a bed rack I would most certainly have kept it the full 5' to get a little over 3 gallons of hot water storage. It'll do for now.

Took me around a good 2 hours to work on this and the hardest part for me was having the patience to wait for the cement to cure before pressurizing it. I didn't wait and pressurized it and sprung a leak at the junction where I drilled a hole in for the fill cap. So i repaired that and let it sit overnight, I'll be testing it again.

BTW I want to attach this to the built in rail on the passenger side, if anyone has any ideas on how to go about this, input is much appreciated. I was looking at some adjustable clamps/straps just not sure what size T-nut or tab that will fit in the rails to slide them in and attach.
