2wd BS and SoCal meet ups and Tacoma fun

cool thanks! having a hard time seeing on my big paper map where the 3N08 re-connects to 3N14. Thinking you meat go from 3N08 back to 3N16 and then to Big Bear. Looks like a fun trip! Trying to decide if i should take the family out on this route or not.

 

Ok so I think I'll do a Saturday day trip. Did someone say there shooting up there too?

 

Not sure about the shooting,
Should be meeting around 11 or 12 up there on saturday for us campers. @FishingInSand will be upthere friday. Pm him and find out where you 2 can meet earlier and madison, mike and I will roll in later.

 

I'll plan on leaving about the same time then and will follow.

I figure I'll be lazy and get there by 11 also lol. Get in a few trails and leave later in the evening possibly after a nap. But if I'm up early I'll leave early.

Either or. Your preference. Saturday will be around 11 am meet and start and Sunday will be pack up early, meet and start.

 

Dam I wish I didn't work Saturdays. I'll most likely be there Sunday though

 

One more. The 3N08... What kinda rough are we talking about? Rocks or ruts? You did it in your Prerunner? Just curious

 

Hey @JaCado just spit balling here. But what about switching to Idyllwild? Mike and I know a great yellow post camp site with a table and fire ring(which we can have a fire in) lots of beautiful 2wd trails and a great pizza place in town lol. Mike and I know it pretty well now. It might be a bit further for you LA people but I don't think by much. Anyway. Let me know what you think. The resident expert on Idyllwild is a fucking hoot to camp with too. Hopefully he can make it this weekend anywhere we go @bigbarlo

I am all for it. Just need to get out of here. Thing is, it was going to be a day trip for some and I think if we switch a lot will opt out. I will throw it out there though. Honestly was think about this yesterday when camping issue arose. Need to do some scouting in big bear first I think.

 

How many trucks?

 

As of right now 5 camping and maybe another couple day tripping it?

I've never hit the big bear trails which is why I was looking to go out there.

I just did a quick rough google check, from LA to big bear vs LA to Idyllwild is a difference of about 20 minutes.
The camp spot Madison is referring to is awesome and there's a bunch of fun 2wd trails all around there.

 

6 I think camping maybe up to 12 for runs if people come out for day trips.
