Having a bit of an issue here with music audio sync and now phone sync with my Nexus 6p.

    Music audio sync
    1) the only audio program that I use is Spotify. If I restart my phone, the Bluetooth audio sync with Spotify is fully functional. However, after I turn off the car and re-sync, the audio stream will sync, but track information will not display on the center console, and I won't be able switch tracks using the Entune OS. If I restart my phone again, the sync will be fully functional.

I didn't even have a bluetooth audio or aux-in in my previous car --2007 second gen (i had to use CDs), so I feel like a spoiled brat by saying this.. but, it's really annoying to have to constantly restart my phone so that audio stream is fully functional.

    2) I am also having a problem with Entune retrieving my phone contacts from my phone. Sometimes my phone contacts load-up and sometimes they don't.

I am not sure if it is Entune or my phone that is causing these issues.

Don't know what the problem is but try updating it by downloading the entune app

    There is an Entune app?

I am little behind the times when it comes to Phone technology and Web 2.0.

first, let's shorten your testing time. You shouldn't have to restart the phone to temp fix your problem. Just turn off your phone's bluetooth and turn it back on. That essentially does the same thing.

Repair the devices. Delete the connection from the phone side, then delete it from the truck side. Re-pair them. I would suggest NOT allowing contact sharing. People with a lot of contacts have been having issues with their audio. Yes, there is an app called "toyota entune". If you download and sign into it once, it will auto open in the background when you connect to your headunit. It offers the headunit a data connection. If you haven't updated the headunit software, you should get that small popup after it connects to the Entune App and realizes there is one available. That might fix some of your issues as well.
Lastly, I don't use Spotify, so I can't help you there. I use Google Music and have had few problems. Someone else with Spotify may be able to help on that front.

The bold is something I tried initially but it didn't fix the Spotify issues.
