    Yeah, quickframe.

    https://www.8020.net/university-quickframe

The base will be 1" x 1" 10-series T-slot extrusion. The Prinsu racks use the 10-series 1" x 2". Goosegear builds theirs out of 1" x 1" 10-series. It was too pricey for me. Also more work since each end needs to be tapped. They used to build the cabinets out of quickframe.

The DS will have storage for tools and a fridge. Bench on top. Two panels will fit in the middle for a kids bed. Roughly 70" x 42". Two panels because the kids are short and only the longer panel will be used for now so the wife can get to the toilet in the middle of the night. 2nd panel for when I need to stealth camp solo and can use the twin- sized bed. I've already slept 4 nights in the back and the bed will be long enough for me. Side sleeper.

It will not look like this, but it would be cooler if it did.

    IMG_6932.PNG.jpg

Gives you an idea of the quickframe setup. Just copying the Germans...

I've been thinking of a design to make a useful behind-seat (DC) storage system using perforated aluminum and some minimal framing for rigidity. The 80/20 Prinsu stuff came to mind, but I've never had time yet to look into it deeper, or their other products. Those flanged quickframe profiles might be just the trick for sketching out a prototype.

Friend of mine used to work for a local reservation on their construction/maintenance crew and they had rented an excavator for some dirt work. One of the residence of said reservation took it upon himself to jump in and start messing around (granted he work for the same crew as my friend but was no way qualified). Proceeds to flip it on its side.

They didn't know what to do so they just left it there... for almost a week.

My buddy was like :facepalm:and because he was a non tribal member they just ignored him.

    He quit pretty soon after.
