There's your problem, you're driving through PDX. Best to just go around and hope the nonsense stays confined. I say that not because I'm against hippies and millennials, I'm just tired of Portland hippies and millennials (Seattle's main rival for weirdness).

 

I stay away from the area when I can. It's a plague.

 

It's called Black mountain, though most googling will result in a lookout located in the Big Horns.
The trail isFr667. If you download a MVUM map for the Med. Bow range it should be easy to find. The trail starts right at the Laramie Peak scout camp.

I dig hippies. They keep to themselves, pack out what they pack in, and just want people to be friendly. Nothin wrong with that.

The toads are doing well! The newly released adults are already getting cozy with each other so we are hoping for a good year full of new tadpoles from these guys. Can't wait to find some of the toads and salamanders here in Idaho. So far we have only came across snakes.

Well after being here for 5 months, I've done it. I've landed my "goal" job since moving to Jackson. In a couple weeks I move to a full time acct job at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. This was my ultimatum to myself, that if I can get an acct Job working at one of the best ski resorts in the country, and still not like it, I need to find a new career path.
So I'll see if my hopes and dreams come to fruition. Though I think I'm going to like it.

 

Well you've officially "fell in the hole". But hey 15 years later my deep bitterness is only at the cost of living in Jackson and the number of two time a year visitors that claim LaWyoming residency for tax reasons. Sounds awesome man.

 

I fell so deep in there hole we might as well be having babies. I'm trapped now!

 

Well back to wyoming for the weekend. If anyone is around Casper or Douglas give a shout I'll buy ya a beer.

 

There are worse places to end up. Still enjoying my job here in Idaho. Not a bad place to have lunch.

 

There was a shit ton of poison ivy so yeah, it kind of does suck . Besides, everyone will just flock to Boise .

 

Ha! This is just a pit stop on my way north. Sure do like it though.

 

North is north . Going to stay here for at least a year but probably longer if they let me. Ill look into grad school in Canada after or head to Alaska for a bit. Just gonna go where there is cool work to be done.

Still a lot of snow on the mountains. Absaroka-Beartooths?

 

Yeah. Wind rivers had like 337% a week or so ago. Still a lot up high. In the bear tooths. Absarokas are melting off fast. Rivers and creeks are full rage mode

 

Will make high elevation trail access a challenge this year.
