Hey guys, been on the forums for quite some time now doing my research. Recently my 2007 Sonata took a dump and I have been reaching out to local dealerships. Stadium Toyota in Tampa has a 2017 off road 4x4 in manual with tow package, carpet mats, and toyoguard. Rep is offering out the door cost + TTL for $35,424.78. Is this a decent deal. Was doing the math based off invoice, the problem is he said Southeast Toyota's sometime come with the carpet mats and toyoguard which there is no invoice. Total before TTL is $32,424.78. Their "market value" is $35,893 which im guessing is the MSRP. Trying to see if they will exchange the carpet mats for all weather and drop the TOYOguard but not sure if he will yet. Let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks!

You should be able to do better than that price, I paid $35,317.00 for my 2017 TRD Off Road, automatic, Access Cab, Tech Package, all weather mats, tow package. Here in Oregon most dealers don't add a lot of add-ons as people got really tired of that awhile back and they started to wise up.

carpet mats with door sill protectors are 138 invoice, 208 MSRP.
I would never pay for the Toyogaurd, but a MT is hard to come by, so they kinda have you there.
You can probably do better, but if you want that MT it may not last long.

Strange, cause on the sticker the carpet mats say $299. Didn't realize it came with still protectors. And yea they fly off the lots down here. There is actually another magnetic grey at a dealership a little north of me as well. Havent gotten a OTD price on theirs yet though.

That was the cost listed on the sticky with the master cost list. That dealer could be using their own mats and if that´s the case, it may not have the sill protectors, in which case they are really overpriced.

Looks like a "fair market" price.

Yeah, when I saw $299 for carpet mats I wanted to email him back and tell him no chance in hell, however if he is willing to take those out put in all weather and negotiate I have my eyes and ears open. I really am just concerned with the v6 tow package, but we will see.

I recommend using TrueCar's website. I had three dealerships compete for my business. If you're shopping multiple lots, this may be the way to go.

I bought a DCSB TRDOR with MT and P&T package in March. MSRP was $37,994. I paid $33,500 before TTL. I would try for a little better deal.

Forums always tell you "you can do better". If its the truck you want, and you're getting $2-3k off msrp(or so?), I'd go for it & start enjoying your new Tacoma asap :)

Rule of thumb on a good deal is to be out the door (TTL) below Msrp.

I paid 36,600 OTD for premium tech package(7% sales tax)

Just for reference, I paid $32,280 OTD. And they were "rare" up here.

I am from the Orlando, FL area. I literally just started fielding offers from the local dealerships. I am willing to travel up to 200 miles from my home. Was even willing to travel out of the state if savings were good enough. He is willing to throw in all weather mats. Still it seems like others are getting p and t package and still getting OTD with tax included under what I was offered. I hate the fact that the TOYOguard and $299 carpet mats cannot be removed.

OP the price ain't bad man. Its all about supply and demand. If you're in a hurry or want exact specifications you're gonna have to pay for them! I paid a lot more than I COULD have because I wanted my car stat. Good luck with the purchase. :fingerscrossed:

Just an FYI ... I paid a couple grand more and got a 4x2 Lmtd AT with Tow, Tech, Toyogard, carpeted mats, running boards (which I RR with AMP Powersteps), and the paint protection. That is on the Treasure Coast. So it is SET as well.

Might be my dealer is higher volume or just needed one or two more sales to hit is goal for the month. Either way I think I got more value for comparitively little more money (less than 3k).
