Great thread. My Springer and Kimber are my two favorite handguns that I have.

Anybody need a couple Galco leather holsters? I have too many 1911 holsters!

I'm looking for a Rock Island Armory 1911 Government Parts kit, I've seen them on eBay and local retailers for roughly $387. Does anyone know where to get them cheaper?

Anyone on here have experience Smith and Alexander mag guides? Googled them and saw a few postings, nothing negative. Their web site seems dated. No online contacts, just PO box, phone and fax. And the copyright on the page is 1999.

I've installed one on my Gold Cup. It could use blending to make it a 100% smooth but I left it and didn't have any issues.

Yes, I have a Smith Alexander on my gun. I used one of their blank main spring with the mag extension. It wasn't difficult to fit it, I checkered it myself, I'm a tool and die machinist so fine tuning with a file doesn't bother me.

Very nice. I do like their offerings with 2011 series but my hands aren’t large enough for a comfortable fit. So it’s single stack for me.

Thanks for the close ups, nice fit and finish. I didn’t even know they offered a smooth version. 20 LPI is what they have shown. Wishing I had tuning skills.

Friend of mine had the same issue, he got a woman's/kids frame. As much shit as I wanted to give him, it felt good and made all of the controls reachable

May as well post up the family again. Took the A2 out a couple weeks ago for it's test run. Ran a couple hundred through it with zero problems.

For me a single stack with slim grips that have relief cut for the mag release and throw in and extended slide release, fits pretty good. One of the things that caught my attention with the Smith & Alexander’s was their offerings of a slim version.

Ahh here we go, a thread I can get into. Cool if I start posting pictures of work here?

Since we are discussing magwell and blending here is a little before and after pic.

Been waiting on my Springfiels 1911 loaded for over two months (backorder), jumped on it while turners had a sale. Along with the 4 free mags promo. June 30 is the last day to get the promo. Sad part is, despite waiting over two months, Springfield won't honor the promo unless I have it in hand. Considering switching to Sig if the Springfield doesn't show up by the 30th. I might be a whiner, but also not please with Springfield not honoring backorders. Either way, I look forward to my first 1911.
