Yes breaking the connection/circuit will stop the flow, until you allow the circuit to be completed another way. So, if current flows from the neg terminal, wouldn't basic electrical thought say if the other side provided a path to travel, it would? Maybe I am overthinking this, but I would rather over think it opposed to not understanding at all.

The other side + ? Yes. But it can't because the - is disconnected.
When you really need to think about direction of current flow is looking at pn junctions, transistors, diodes, things like that.

Don't think of it as breaking the flow of the current but rather as isolating the battery from the circuit entirely.

    there is no spoon.

It was listed on page 4. As uneventful as it was, it was a lost
I think at this point, it really doesn't matter. I'm waiting with anticipation on the answer with the battery (said with humor). But if you must know, I guess I some how lost an ignition switch fuse. Which, I'm 99% sure I never even touched, but that 1% makes me 100% Wrong. I know, put the tools down and step away from the truck.

My 2 cents now that I'm done working. If you look at any construction or industrial piece of equipment that has a battery disconnect/shut off switch, it will be on the negative side of the battery circuit. For the same reasons you should disconnect the negative terminal first when disconnecting the battery on your vehicle.

For those that missed it due to the "battery" conversation. Oh sorry OP didn't mean to derail your thread, just was seeking clarification considering it was brought up that the battery may have been part of the problem.

Just have to add this for clarification:

Current is DRAWN by the circuit, voltage is provided. That's why fuses can handle "up to" their rating, that's why you can add more than one circuit on on fuse as long as the total drawn current is under the fuse rating.

    all tore up already
Disappointed we only got 3 pages of agruing about the most basic electrical knowlege before op dropped the fix. Glad it wasnt major. And for the record, no disconnecting your positive battery cable will not cause welding arc sparks if you touch your frame after.
