No, that would be old news. Their uniball UCAs had optional caps for a while... I've only watched the video once but the spindle/knuckle bolt seems to be one solid part with the ball so not a uniball. Seems like a hybrid and time will tell if it's a step forward or a shitty gimmick. I'm not convinced with the wiper seal at the bottom but with regular greasing this design idea has the potential to last longer than a uniball

Exactly. It is not a uniball with an upper cap. Lubing the uniballs gets old and the noise gets even older, we'll see how this design fares out. Hopefully it is better than both a ball joint and a uniball.

Is there any pics from the bottom? It can't be sealed on the bottom right?

No, there's no boot. It's a wiper seal only but with regular greasing (especially after wheeling) it should be fine

So doesn't that make it a uniball? It's just a uniball with a sealed top?

No, a uniball is just that. A ball; and the bolt usually goes thru it. This looks like ball and bolt are one solid piece

I just ordered some. I'll report back soon. My uniballs took a shit and squeek to high hell. I'm thinking my lower seals crapped out and started letting in debris which I notice while cleaning them occasionally. The top cap with the O-ring is solid and hasn't failed. Coming up through the bottom. Hoping the new design will keep a tighter seal around the ball and the grease will definitely help. Stay tuned:D

Hell yeah, let us know how it fares out for you! I'm interested to see if they really live up to be what they claim they are.

There are no lower seals on a uniball, It's just a steel ball in a steel race with teflon separating the 2. The DJ has a wiper on the bottom to keep grease in and crap out.

My Tubular Delta joint arms arrive Friday for my T4R.

Close to $300 for a retrofit set. Hmm

What's up with that retarded zerk? Can that be swapped or are we supposed to buy some shitty proprietary needle adapter from Icon too?

Standard zerk for low clearance areas. A lot of U Joints use the same zerk.

    What you need.

    https://www.amazon.com/Lincoln-Lubrication-5803-Grease-Needle/dp/B0002SR6XE

There are some needles out there that adapt to your "normal" ball end grease gun.
