My truck has gotten a lot of hail damage and may be considered "totaled". Its a 2000 TRD with 132000 on it. Everything works fine and I should be getting a good amount of money from insurance. How much should I be getting, since I know they will low ball me at first. Thanks for the help!

Post some pictures and it may be easier to determine value.

Most insurance companies will go by actual cash value. You can check your policy to see if it goes by actual cash value vs replacement cost. I would do your homework and search your truck values in your area.

Most go for around 8-11k in my area with like 50k more miles on them. They will pay me for the value of the usable parts, which is pretty much the whole thing, and I can buy it back for 15% of what they give me.

Buy it back, if hail damage is small dings on a hot day put ice in each dent. They usually pop back. That low miles you can go a lit longer.

From what I've seen on this forum taco's seem to vary a lot in value based of the region of the country they are in. But here in the PNW that truck (in good shape) would easily sell for 11-12k. I paid 11.5 for my 2000 4x4 TRD with about those mile.

Even with a salvaged title if you fix the damage it could still be sold for probably 9500
