At my old place there's a couple rattle snakes in the brush not more than 20 yards from my door .I can hear them most of the time especially if people are walking down the green belt or sidewalk

If you ever see what looks to be a big wasp with a blueish black body and orange wings , don't piss it off . That's a Tarantula Hawk and if they become aggressive at you and you get stung you're in for 45 min of intense pain

This sting is so bad pain wise its 2nd in a list of painful insect bites which the #1 stinging insect is the bullet ant

Good morning. Tired long day short night. New dog and old dog both intact alpha males. Having a friend over later today to help me let them both in the same space. In case have to run to the vet he can help. For now they are each side of gates. New guy is younger and smaller so will end up on bottom he actually just wants to play. When he isn't trying to mark inside the house lot of training to do yet, but good dog. 2.5 year old is serious. Will take some time.

Hate ticks with a passion. I have Lyme and every dog I've ever had has had Lyme by age of 1. Except the new guy from Texas, going to try a new pill the vet has instead of Frontline plus which is worthless. And going to do heartworm pills all year I've seen mosquitoes in below zero temps here. Another little bastage.

I spray my yard and wood clothes with this. Including underwear and socks. Then I take a bath in DEET it helps a lot.

I thought the fireants had put a hurting on ticks in Texas? Must be just some areas. Don't forget the chiggers although NC and Va. were the worst for them when I hunted those areas.

My yard is getting bad too. I used to treat the yard pretty heavy with diazinon but after awhile didn't want to hurt all the other insects around also. At this point about ready to declare war and nuke them all.

And I agree, having lived in the Tampa Bay Area for 35 years (Clearwater, Pinellas Park, Gulfport) before moving to rural Kentucky.
    Tourists don't steer, they AIM!

And then there are winter time gray haired retirees. They can neither steer or aim. Sorry, just kidding Mom. :anonymous:

    Morning Mike

I'm sure you've got it covered with the dogs, but :fingerscrossed: they "norm" quickly without doing any real damage.
