One would think I have better things to do than sit here.

    Bye, I'm leaving now.

Yeah, maybe not much bhp, but the instant torque available at 1RPM! That's with a 1:1 rear too.

I totally understand. My first time at Uwharrie I was stock, and was behind @Sandman614 try to get traction up a muddy hill in the rain and I about soaked my seat. I had lots of fun though, and besides more mud and clay than I could imagine, everything went well. There are trails that will bang you up but these are a bunch of good guys and can either guide you or will tell you where to sit one out. On the other hand we saw a guy driving his BMW through some of the trails. It wasn't even prepped like @nastyneight 's Mazda.

    1. Go with a group, especially someone who knows where ever you are wheeling so that you don't accidentally find yourself high centered or axle deep in mud with no real plan to get out.
    2. 4x4 is not going to get you out of every trouble spot. see #1.
    3. Most every good trail has the challenge, and a way around it. @Sandman614 is famous for finding the easy way 'round. The guy barely has to clean his truck after wheeling :spy: See #1.
    4. If someone offers to spot you, listen. The difference on an obstacle between going straight, and turning 10 degrees to the left could mean that you get across unscathed, or drop hard off of a rock. Find someone you trust that can communicate that to you. Easy to find when doing #1.

If you can do the 16th, it would be a good time. There are plenty of peeps that don't hit the hardest trails because their truck either doesn't have enough protection or they don't have the experience. (or both). If nothing else there are miles of fire trails that will give you a leisure ride through the forest.

With the growing numbers we're gonna try to hit this spot if it's available, there are multiple along this road and they are all pretty large.
