It's every 10,000 OR six months right? Can you stretch oil changes longer than six months?

I don't understand how everyone is getting screwed on the first oil change is isn't the first thread I've seen on this also my truck was built in 04/17 in Texas and on the windshield in the top left corner it has a sticker that said bring in at 5000 for a free oil change I'll take a pic when I get off work also for the extra little bit Ill have the dealers service my truck because I got a free lifetime powertrain warranty and I don't want to mess that up

Doesn't say anything about an oil change on that sticker

I know it says service and when I asked the service adviser about it they told it it was an oil change tire rotation air filter check top off washer fluid and the 15 point check they do

But this might just be something my dealer does

If you look in your manual you will see that for the 5k service, an oil change is only under the "special conditions" or whatever they call it. Most dealers will only do the top box of stuff, if you can get an oil change for free then you lucked out.

That's probably why you got it, most people just have regular old ToyotaCare

Synthetic oil change is $54.95 at Pat Lobb's. I see no need for synthetic so I just get the cheapest oil I can and change it per specified interval (sometimes the cheapest is synthetic though).

Yep, once a year, or 10k, whichever comes first. Its in the manual and stated on Toyotacare pamphlet.

Well I totally screwed myself. I thought it was every 6 months or 10k miles. Wow. My dealership must love me.....
